Part Time • Golf Course

NATURE OF WORK  

Part-time position responsible for keeping outside golf operations running smoothly and presentably.  This position will work fewer than 29 hours per week, and is not eligible for town-sponsored benefits.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / FUNCTIONS

  • Keep outside golf operations clean and running smoothly.
  • Stage golf carts for guests.  Keep golf cart fleet clean and presentable.
  • Pick range balls on driving range (hand pick when necessary), clean range balls, and keep ball machine stocked.
  • Keep outside patio areas clean and presentable.
  • Assist in setting up for golf tournaments and related events.
  • Assist with on-course activities, including maintaining water stations and golf ball washers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service by meeting customers’ needs in an efficient and friendly manner.  
  • Ability and willingness to work varied shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to gauge workflow and determine priorities based on staff and customer needs.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
  • Must be energetic, have a positive attitude, and be genuinely interested in providing outstanding customer service.  
 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING

  • Must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Basic knowledge of the game of golf and golf course etiquette is preferred. 
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to touch, handle, grasp, push and pull.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand and walk for long periods of time, and may be exposed to hot surfaces.
  • Work is performed primarily outside; employee may be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or inclement weather conditions.  The noise level is usually moderate and can occasionally be loud.
  • The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
Compensation: $12.56 per hour
